About the Foundation

The Effectus Papilionis (Butterly Effect) Foundation aims to create equal opportunities for Polish children from a rural background through financing additional English language training for children coming from some of the most underdeveloped regions of Poland.
The Foundation’s model is based on three pillars:
• English language courses
• Scholarships for the most talented pupils
• Motivational excursions for selected students to London and Warsaw
At the moment, the Foundation teaches around 100 students in Pcim, Kozłowo and Budziszewice. Every the Foundation offers five to seven scholarships for elementary and high school kids and sends three to four selected pupils for a motivational weekend to London or Warsaw.
The Effectus Papilionis Foundation is apolitical, independent and registered as a Public Benefit Organization. The Foundation does not engage in any business activity and is based on the work of volunteers.
Since 2006 the Foundation organizes a very popular annual Charity Ball in the Polish Embassy in London. Year after year the event attracts around 200 to 250 people, including members of the political and business elite from Poland. Our guests have included two former prime ministers, three ministers, CEOs of banks, consulting firms and other economic and cultural figures. This year’s Carnival Mask Ball continues the tradition of charity events that the Foundation organizes in Warsaw. All of the donations received during ball will be used for statutory purposes of the Foundation.
